Preparation before use
1. Check the battery level and status
Ensure that the emergency battery is fully charged (recommended battery level ≥ 70%). Some devices are equipped with battery display screens. If the battery level is too low, it needs to be charged in advance.
Check the appearance of the battery for any damage, loose or corroded interfaces, and avoid the risk of poor contact or short circuit.
2. Turn off the vehicle's electrical appliances
Before starting, turn off all electrical appliances in the car (such as headlights, air conditioning, audio system, dash cam, etc.) to prevent excessive current during startup from damaging equipment or burning fuses.
3. Confirm vehicle status
Manually shift the car to neutral and tighten the handbrake; Shift the automatic transmission car to P gear and tighten the handbrake.
Ensure that the vehicle is turned off and the key is kept away from the ignition switch (to avoid accidental ignition when starting).
Connection and startup operations
1. Connect the positive and negative poles correctly
The red clip is connected to the positive pole of the battery (marked with "+"), and the black clip is connected to the negative pole of the battery (marked with "-").
If the negative terminal is corroded or difficult to contact, the black clip can be clamped on the exposed metal part of the vehicle body (such as the engine compartment bracket), but it is necessary to ensure that this part is directly connected to the negative terminal of the battery.
It is strictly prohibited to clamp the reverse polarity, otherwise it may damage the vehicle circuit or emergency battery protection device.
2. Start sequence and timing
Start the vehicle immediately after connection to avoid battery reverse charging caused by prolonged connection (some emergency batteries do not have reverse charging protection).
If the first startup fails, wait for 1-2 minutes for the emergency battery to cool down to avoid triggering overheating protection due to frequent startups.
After successful startup, keep the engine running for 10-20 minutes to charge the vehicle battery.
